I didn't start out chasing olympiad medals. I started out in a military school — a completely different world, built around drill, discipline, and a track that had nothing to do with proofs or problem sets.

Somewhere along the way, that changed. Math got its hook into me — not the classroom kind, the kind where a problem sits in your head for two days and you can't let it go until it's solved. That pull pushed me out of the track I was on and into a completely different one: competition mathematics and building things with code.
